καλημέρα

That is pronounced, 'kali̱méra' and means "greetings" or "good day" in Greek!

We just got back and had such a fabulous time in Crete, Greece with Preben's Family to celebrate Preben's parents' 60th birthday. :)
It was A LOT of traveling... First- the trip across the pond to Norway then our four hour flight to Greece, and of course back again!

But we had so much fun!

Preben finished his thesis just 2 days before we left, so it was even more enjoyable knowing that he doesn't have to worry about that any more!

There are a lot of pictures here, so beware!

Liam did great on all the plane rides. :)
(well as good as he could do considering how long he was on them)  :)

The boys splashing together at the hotel pool

Beautiful Greek beaches.  I love the mountains in the background.

our awesome hotel had little water slides for the kids!

Liam's first-ever dip in the ocean!
and not just any ocean; the Mediterranean Sea!  Lucky boy!

So pretty!
Liam saw the water as we walked closer to the beach and started trying to squirm out of our arms.  He just loves the water!  He would sit there in the sand splashing all by himself for about 20 minutes at a time.

Pappa and Liam goofing off

they sure know how to relax!

Ice cream by the pool!
Notice my broken sunglasses;
Liam was so sweet to grab my face and give me kisses but broke them in the process. :)  I love him.

They had nightly train rides with their cousins at the hotel for the kiddo-s!

It was one of Noah's favorite parts of the whole trip!

The beautiful Enger couple.  We were out celebrating Anne Turid & little Petter's birthdays!

Out eating Greek food!

We took a day trip to visit Santorini, and it was just amazing.
Here we are on the 2 hour ferry ride to get to the island.

So pretty!

Perfect weather!

We said that this was probably one of the most beautiful places we've ever been.  There was always a good view and it was so cozy with the little city built into the hill.

Ice-cream break!

Back to Crete!
Did I mention that Noah loved the sand?

Liam with Cousin Petter!

at the Mini-Disco, where they had nightly dancing and singing and shows for the kids.

Preb & I even got chosen to be contestants for a "Pilot Beach Lovers" competition between other couples at the hotel.  We had to do silly things to prove our love for one another.  It was fun. :)

Sweet little Mari

More ice cream!

he loved this.

Out on the town!

Liam enjoying the sun :)

After 8 plane rides,
9 bus rides,
and 2 boat rides,
we decided we are done traveling for a while.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful time, Enger family!
We miss you already!
