Thankful.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we are celebrating with just our little family.
We have so many things to thank the Lord for this year.

We bought our first house!!  Yay!!
We are thankful for our wonderful families; although far, they love us and we love them.
We are thankful for our two beautiful and healthy boys.
We are thankful for each other and our marriage.
We are thankful for our friends here in Houston, who have been like our family. - THREE of which invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner since they know we don't have family here.
  (Thank you, Volkmers, Peschkes and Tulls!)
We are thankful that we get to see BOTH our Norwegian and Atlanta families during Christmas time in December!

And we are, of course forever and always thankful for God's never ending love for us and for Jesus dying on the cross for us so that we can be with Him forever in heaven.

But this year we are especially thankful for Liam;

At our 20 week ultrasound with him, (the one you find out the gender),  they are also looking at more serious things, like the baby's organs and making sure he is healthy.

We found out that Liam had a cyst on his brain, which could have meant he had a chromosomal defect (trisomy 18) that is usually fatal at birth, or shortly after.  We had some more intense ultrasounds done after this to see if they could determine anything further, but they could not give a certain answer unless we got an amniocentesis, which we did not want to do as it poses a risk to the baby.

So we prayed that he was healthy, and waited with apprehension, until birth to see our sweet little Liam, who is perfect and healthy in every way.
We give all praise and glory to God.

We are so thankful.

This is a touching story about a family who shares their story of their son, Elliot, who had what we thought Liam might have had.
 Their trust in the Lord is such a testament to their faith.
I've seen them on Oprah to share their story as well.
