Well, we are FINALLY getting settled! It has been so fun to go shopping for new furniture and getting our new house all put together. We are so thankful that all of our stuff has arrived straight off the boat from Norge! It is so nice to have some things to bake with and some blankets and our pillows and towels again. :)
We absolutely LOVE our neighborhood. It is just beautiful and the people are super nice! So friendly and welcoming. We are getting used to Houston, which has been sunny and we love it! Our cheeks are starting to get some color back in them, which is always nice.
We are starting to learn what HARD water is. -It is pretty annoying, always leaving white dots on our dishes and cars and showers. Nothing looks very clean, which is a little frustrating. We got one of those home tester kits to test the water to find out the pH and how hard it actually is and what is in it. Turns out we had the hardest water on the little strip...the darkest blue! -it's called extreme hard water. We're looking into filtering systems that will help it out. :) But if that's our biggest problem, I think we're doing pretty good!
We have already had a couple visitors, my good friend Chris, who I've known since 2nd or 3rd grade came and stayed with us for a couple days. It was fun to see a familiar face here in Houston. :)
My parents came yesterday and brought our huge load of wedding gifts that we weren't able to take to Norway before. It's been like Christmas, opening up everything all over again! :) They have been so helpful helping me unload everything and break down boxes and get organized. Parents are so wonderful! It's a pretty daunting task doing it alone. (Preben helps, but he's working all day) :)
We are really enjoying the pool! It is still a bit cold to go in, but I guess not for the Norwegian...
Preb and I went to some outlet mall and look at this exit we passed!! How awesome is that??
Alrighty, that's it for now! Sorry we haven't posted much here, we've been really busy! But it's fun busy :)
I like the rubber ducky in the pool.
