bicycle.

This was one of Noah's very first words.  He would say, "bydeaca" all the time and we had no idea what he was talking about.
-we thought he was saying "bye deacon" (my old pup)

MONTHS later we finally figured out he meant 'bicycle', and man, does he love bicycles!

When he turned 2, we got him a bike that we read all about that has no pedals with the idea that the child learns to balance first before pedaling.
(there are lots out there but ours is a STRIDER)

look how little he was!

He caught on super fast and before we knew it he was going down hills (what little we have in Houston), speeding along everywhere he went.

He just turned 3 at the end of January, and his big present  on his big day was a real bike with pedals.
We didn't even put on the training wheels and within 15 minutes, he was riding a big boy bike all on his own!!
We were so impressed!

My mom is so worried (she always says he is doing a 5 year old activity with a 3 year old brain), and yes, while sometimes he doesn't look where he is going, he always stops at the stop signs and can stop on a dime if he's about to crash into someone or something.

He rides his "pedals" as he calls it, every day, and he loves it so much, that we take it away as punishment if he's not being a good boy.

If you're a parent, we highly recommend the Strider!
I've never seen a 3 year old ride a 2 wheeler, and we give the credit to the Strider.
(and Noah of course too!)

The best part is you don't have to go through that whole taking the training wheels off process when they are older.

Check out our boys on their bikes!
(it's just a short little clip)
(we're getting Liam started on the Strider now)
never too soon!

  4. Very impressive!!! LOVE watching the video. I almost feel like they should have sub titles so I know what Preben is saying.

And watched Noah on the pink 4 wheeler. Funny he was wearing his St. Patty's Day shirt there too!

Ha ha ha Sara...poor Liam, the middle child. Unless there'll be 4!
