We just got back from a super fun time in California!
My Mom's family has a reunion every 3-4 years and this year it took place in San Diego.
We wanted to do some sight seeing before the big reunion, so we met my sister, Sara in San Francisco and road-tripped it down the coast!
The famous Golden Gate
Lombard Street-
which we found out is actually NOT the crooked-est street in the world.
bummer.
Absolutely PERFECT weather!
Sweet little Liam chillin in front of the bridge.
popped by to see Uncle Jessie & Uncle Joey!
(this famous little house line-up is called "The Painted Ladies")
Aunt Sara with Noah at a sweet little park just next to the Painted Ladies
Liam practicing his talent for the upcoming talent show at the reunion
(Sooooo Biiiigggg)
me & Liam
Noah got some energy out by running through it like 23 times
Found some train tracks and Noah talked about them for the rest of the trip.
Took a nice stroll through the Red Wood Forest.
- I think this was my favorite part of the whole trip. It was so peaceful and quiet and cool in the forest.
GIGANTIC, Beautiful trees.
view from the bottom
pictures just don't do it justice.
-they are just huge!
Trying to show you how big the trees are
Family Photo
I can't even remember where this balloon came from but he held onto it for the whole road trip.
Checking out the Big Sur Coastline with Aunt Sara one morning
Because we were heading to the Holtum Family Reunion (in which all members of this family are proud of their Danish heritage), we would have felt guilty if we didn't stop in SOLVANG, a small little Danish town along the way!
It was mostly just plain hot there.
But Noah found some cool, big bicycles.
came across a little town called Topanga- for you "Boy Meets World" fans out there.
Next we stopped in Los Angeles to visit my fun Uncle Paul, "tinkerbell" (as Noah called him), Aunt Angela and Cousin Hope.
Checked out the Hollywood scene
We took the big bus tour of Hollywood
Liam enjoyed himself.
-don't worry, we kept him well hydrated; I know he looks hot.
Hollywood walk of Fame!
-if you can't tell by our attire, it happened to be the 4th of July
hmmmm...decisions, decisions...
hiked up to see the Hollywood sign
Pretty cool!
And OF COURSE we saw some fireworks.
Happy (late) 4th!!
