Well, can you believe it has already been more than a year since we've tied the knot?? Seems like this year just flew by! As a celebration of the day, we took a little weekend trip to Austin, a super cool city, which is about a 3 hour drive from where we are.
We were so excited to see all the green and we almost forgot what rolling hills looked like... We really do miss the Norwegian and Georgia landscapes. :)
Here was the view from our room. Only one window opened, and it only opened this far. I guess they don't want anyone to go jumping!
When we were driving down the main street into town, we saw the glorious capitol building right at the end!
We went inside the capitol building and here we have a picture of the ceiling of the dome top. Really cool!
We saw a gelato opportunity, and of course we had to take it.
Georgia on my mind....
On the way home, we saw these beautiful patches of flowers, and remembered that there was a flower festival going on. There were lots of people out looking at the millions of flowers. We pulled over to join them for a photo op. I think these are called blue bonnets.
One year down, forever to go!!! :)
