NEW YORK!

Well, Preben and I were lucky enough to be able to spend some time in The Big Apple before heading down to Georgia for Christmas. We had a wonderful time and loved New York!

Here is Grand Central Station. Really cool and beautiful and busy building.

We took one of those bus tours, which was so fun except that one of the windows on the bus was missing so it was freezing. But we learned a lot and had a great tour guide (you can see him to the left of Preben), he was just smiling the entire time and had such a passion for the city; he was so cute. - He reminded me of my Uncle Ernie :)

We made the trip to see the Statue of Liberty, which we found out is actually made of a material that came from Norway. Preben keeps reminding us of this. :)

Here's Preben on the boat on the way to Ellis Island where we learned about all the immigrants who came through NY.

Here we are in front of the city line. We could really see a gap without the twin towers in the middle. Still beautiful, none the less.

Here we are :)

Gotta love sponge hats for $12 bucks!
(this was taken in a gift shop) - meaning we didn't buy it :)

Ice skating down town! We were too cold to do it ourselves, but we had fun watching the others.

Here we have the Empire State Building, where many of the romantic movies have taken place. :) I gotta say that it was not so romantic waiting in a 2 hour line to get to the top of it. But it was really cool once we made it up to the top!

Here we are at the top!
Awesome View!!
